D3fenders ("D3fenders", "we", "our", or "us") provides a self-custody digital wallet and security tools designed to help users manage blockchain assets and interact with decentralized networks.
This Privacy Policy explains how information may be processed when you use:
- the D3fenders Wallet browser extension
- the D3fenders website
- any related services provided by D3fenders
By using D3fenders services, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
1. Privacy-First Architecture
D3fenders is designed to prioritize user privacy and self-custody.
Private keys, seed phrases, and signing operations remain encrypted locally on your device. D3fenders does not collect or store private keys or seed phrases on its servers.
Blockchain transactions are signed locally within the wallet and broadcast directly to the relevant blockchain network.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
D3fenders does not collect, store, or have access to:
- Private keys
- Seed phrases or recovery phrases
- Wallet passwords
- Biometric authentication data
- Government identification documents
- Personal identity information such as name or address
All sensitive wallet data is generated and stored locally within the user's device.
3. Public Blockchain Data
To provide wallet functionality, D3fenders may process public blockchain information, including:
- wallet addresses
- transaction history
- token balances
- NFT ownership
- smart contract interactions
Wallet addresses are public identifiers on blockchain networks and do not inherently identify an individual.
This information is used solely to provide wallet features such as displaying balances, transactions, and asset ownership.
4. Third-Party Blockchain Infrastructure
D3fenders may use third-party infrastructure providers to access blockchain data, including services that provide:
- blockchain RPC access
- transaction indexing
- token metadata
- blockchain analytics
These providers may receive public wallet addresses as part of normal blockchain query requests.
D3fenders does not control how third-party providers store or process blockchain data.
5. Website Data and Cookies
The D3fenders website may use limited cookies or analytics tools to:
- understand general website usage
- improve site performance
- diagnose technical issues
These cookies do not access wallet data or private keys.
Users may disable cookies through their browser settings.
6. How Information Is Used
Information processed by D3fenders may be used to:
- retrieve blockchain transaction history
- display token balances and NFT ownership
- support wallet security features
- detect vault interactions and security events
- maintain service reliability and performance
- improve wallet functionality
D3fenders does not sell or rent personal data.
7. Data Retention
Because most data processed by D3fenders originates from public blockchain networks, it is generally not stored by D3fenders long-term.
Limited diagnostic logs may be temporarily retained for debugging, security monitoring, or service reliability.
8. Security
D3fenders uses industry-standard security practices designed for self-custody wallets, including:
- local encryption of wallet keys
- session-based key access controls
- secure storage within the browser extension environment
- optional vault-based transaction security workflows
Users remain responsible for protecting their recovery phrases, devices, and passwords.
9. Children's Privacy
D3fenders services are not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
10. Updates to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated periodically to reflect improvements or changes to the D3fenders services.
The latest version will always be available on the D3fenders website.
Continued use of the services after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
